Professional firearm storage in Canada · Licence 13848590
Relocating outside Canada and need somewhere secure for your firearms? Steller Firearms Management & Storage provides licensed short- and long-term firearm storage in Canada for employees, firearm owners, and the organizations managing their relocation.
When an employee is relocating outside Canada, firearms are an easy problem to overlook and a hard one to solve at the last minute. The employee usually can't take them, often can't sell them quickly, and the relocation timeline doesn't wait.
Steller gives your relocation package a single answer for firearms:
Organizations with their own firearms to store — not an employee's — should see our institutional and government firearm storage page.
If you're leaving for work, family, retirement, or military service, you shouldn't have to decide the fate of your firearms in the same month you're packing a house. Storing them in Canada keeps every option open: bring them home when you return, sell them later on your own terms, or hold them while the law and your plans settle.
Moving within Canada instead? See firearm storage during a move.
Restricted and prohibited firearms need RCMP alternate-storage approval before they can move, and that takes a minimum of two weeks after filing. Contact us as soon as your departure date is known and the paperwork will be done before the movers arrive.
Leaving the country does not force an immediate decision. You can store your firearms in Canada for as long as you're away and decide later whether to bring them home, sell them, or keep storing them.
Storage is not export. Steller stores and manages firearms in Canada. We don't advise on exporting firearms, importing them into another country, or the firearms laws of your destination. If you intend to take a firearm out of Canada, confirm the Canadian export requirements and the laws of every destination and transit country with the appropriate authorities or a qualified professional. If what you need is simply to keep your firearms safe in Canada while you're abroad, that's what we do.
International relocation isn't the only reason to store firearms for the long term. Military personnel, government employees, contractors and other professionals posted overseas — or away from home for months at a time — use Steller for the same reason relocating employees do: the firearms stay secure and documented, and nothing about them needs attention while you're gone.

We confirm which firearms need RCMP alternate-storage approval, prepare the storage agreement, and arrange shipping, or an in-person transfer where appropriate.
Each one is received, photographed and recorded under the signed agreement.
Billing runs monthly or annually. Give us notice when you want a firearm back — for good, or just for a visit.
Moving abroad, relocating an employee, or preparing for a posting? Send us the basics and we'll come back to you with next steps.
